Equipment

Strength Training Equipment

Lifestyle Fitness uses FreeMotion  selectorized  weight training equipment. FreeMotion equipment is the first, and only, circuit of functional strength training equipment to allow the user to simulate real-life movements in a wide range of motion. This equipment is unsurpassed in the industry with proprietary features and boundary-breaking designs.

The human body pushes, pulls, lunges, bends and twists through multiple planes of  motion performed in daily activities. The body faces challenges in strength, coordination and balance with every movement. To effectively train the body to function in life with reduced chance of injury, equipment needs to allow the user to perform all of these movements in the most realistic pattern. It is for this reason that traditional, isolated equipment is limited in its ability to build functional strength.

FreeMotion equipment has been designed specifically to allow users to train functionally in order to enhance the way the body moves through real life. The fluid, articulating pulleys and extensive cable travel allow for a wide range of motion.  FreeMotion equipment’s ability to accommodate this wide range of motion gives users the versatility to mimic virtually any movement from lifting a child from the ground to simulating a slap shot in hockey. The versatility of FreeMotion equipment accommodates users of many training styles and abilities.

The concept for working out on FreeMotion equipment is easy to understand. Each piece of equipment requires little to no adjustment, so users can simply grasp the handles and begin moving and exercising right away.

Cardiovascular Training Equipment

Lifestyle Fitness uses the NordicTrack 9800 Incline Trainer™ and 9600 Recumbent Bike for cardiovascular training.  The 9800 Incline Trainer™ combines a higher incline range with the size and speed range of a treadmill. This versatile machine accommodates  users of any training style.  Speed adjusts from 1 to 12 MPH by simply touching a QuickTouch button, or scrolling in 0.1 MPH increments.  Incline adjusts from -3 to 30% by simply touching a QuickTouch button, or scrolling in 0.5% increments.

Lifestyle Fitness also has the innovative, new Cybex Arc Trainer in  its cardiovascular equipment lineup.  The Arc Trainer packs a punch by combining elements of a climber, cross-trainer, and cross-country skier into one machine.  It’s designed to work the body in a biomechanically correct motion that reduces risks to joints.  Adjustable resistance accommodates a wide variety of users — for those seeking a very low work rate to dedicated athletes demanding an extreme workout.
